2025 Community Survey Results
The Town of Frederick recently completed the 2025 National Community Survey™ (The NCS™), and we’re grateful to the 370 randomly selected residents and 231 open participants who shared their feedback. This community-wide survey provides critical insight into resident priorities and satisfaction with Town services—and helps guide decisions that shape Frederick’s future.
There’s a lot to dig into. The results show that safety continues to be a top strength in our community, with 9 out of 10 residents reporting they feel safe in their neighborhoods and downtown. Ratings for governance also improved, with more residents giving high marks for transparency, public information, and confidence in Town leadership. Mobility services like street cleaning, snow removal, and street lighting also saw notable gains.
At the same time, the survey highlighted areas for continued focus, including economic vitality, recreational opportunities, and overall wellness. These insights are being used to inform updates to our Strategic Plan and future policy discussions.

What’s Developing Around Me?
Have you ever noticed a vacant lot or heard about a proposed project and wondered, “What’s going on around me?” The Town of Frederick’s new What’s Developing campaign is here to help residents stay informed and engaged in how our community grows.
The campaign centers on the What’s Developing webpage. In this one-stop hub, you can see development applications under review, explore an interactive map, view approved projects, and most importantly, find details about upcoming Neighborhood Meetings. These meetings are your early opportunity to connect directly with developers and Town staff, learn about proposals, ask questions, and share feedback while projects are still in the planning stage.
Stay informed. Get involved. Know what’s developing around you before plans are set. These conversations play an important role in shaping Frederick’s future while ensuring our growth reflects the community’s vision and values. See what’s developing near you and be part of the conversation at the next Neighborhood Meeting.
Festival of Lights – Saturday, December 6
On Saturday, December 6, Frederick’s Festival of Lights is one of three great events that make up the Carbon Valley Holiday Festival. Spend the day dashing from the Town of Firestone’s Holiday Festival to the City of Dacono’s Holiday Festival, and ultimately to our own celebration in Downtown Frederick.
The evening revs up at 5:30 pm with the Festival of Lights Parade (from Maple to Main St.). Then, follow the crowd to Crist Park (105 Fifth St.) to count down to the lighting of the tree at 6 pm. Stay and enjoy a night full of festive fun, including free horse-drawn carriage rides, an ice sculpture interactive display, selfies with Santa, and carolers filling the park with holiday cheer.
Holiday Clean-Up Programs
When the wrapping paper settles and the lights come down, we’re making cleanup simple, and stress-free. Start the new year fresh by using the Town’s free holiday cleanup programs, an easy way to keep Frederick clean and your home clutter-free.
Holiday Tree Recycling
If you have a live Christmas tree to dispose of, drop it off at 602 Maple Street from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 30, 2026. Please remove all decorations, lights, tinsel, stands, and plastic bags before recycling. Trees should be placed inside the fenced area—no drop-offs on the sidewalk or outside the gate.
Holiday Trash Drop-Off Program
Have a little extra trash after the festivities? Frederick residents who pay for trash service through their Town utility bill can use our Holiday Trash Drop-Off Program at the Public Works Facility (7301 Eagle Blvd.). Pull up at the South Gate entrance where staff will be on-site to check IDs and direct traffic.
Drop-Off Dates: December 22–23, 26, 29–31, January 2, and January 5–9
Hours: 7 am to 2:30 pm (closing at Noon on December 31)
