Complete the following application and photo release form to enter it in our contest to be in our 2023 Built on What Matters Calendar! Photographers must explain why the photo depicts Family, Respect, Empowered, and Dedicated. We'd love to see photos of town events, art pieces, hidden gems in Frederick and all seasons represented! The deadline for submitting is October 1, so get out there and start snapping or submit a photo you've already taken. The Frederick Police Department offers Level 1 and Level 2 Self Defense Classes throughout the year. This community program is for Town... More… The Frederick Police Department offers Level 1 and Level 2 Self Defense Classes throughout the year. This community program is for Town of Frederick residents and women only. The class is open to women ages 15 and up who have not taken this class in the past. Use this form to sign up for currently scheduled classes or to be contacted about future courses. You only need to attend one Level 1 class, but you must take Level 1 to make it to Level 2! Level 1 classes will include valuable classroom-style instruction on awareness and preventative measures before diving into basic physical self-defense techniques. Level 2 classes will review situational awareness and dive deeper into hands-on physical self-defense. Participants can do as much as they are comfortable with, so you may attend regardless of your physical ability.
