Potable Water Master Plan
The Town has kicked off the preparation of it's new Potable Water Master Plan. The Town's water system serves residents on the east side of I-25. The Town used to treat and distribute water from Milavec Lake to the Town until the 1980s when water quality concerns lead the Town to enter into and agreement with Central Weld County Water District for whole sale water. After treated water from the District enters into the Town's water distribution system at multiple locations throughout the Town it becomes the Town's responsibility.
The Town of Frederick has contracted with a consultant to prepare a Potable Water Infrastructure Master Plan. The goal of this Plan is to improve potable water service to our current and future customers. The Plan will recommend and prioritize short-term and long-term infrastructure improvements that are consistent with the Town’s Strategic, Reliable & Sustainable Infrastructure Goal. We anticipate the Plan to be completed by December 2023.
We welcome input from our citizens and businesses as we develop this Potable Water Infrastructure Master Plan. Please use this form to provide input into the planning process.

Raw Water Master Plan
The Town has kicked off the preparation of its new Raw Water Master Plan. The raw water system is used to irrigate many of the Town’s parks including the Frederick Recreation Area and Centennial Park., and some subdivisions also use raw water for irrigation of parks and shared spaces. The Town intends to convert many Town properties to raw water irrigation over time to reduce the amount of high-quality potable water used for non-potable uses.
