CWCWD 30 inch Waterline

About the Project

The Town receives treated water from Central Weld County Water District per agreement at about a dozen locations throughout the Town. The Town then maintains the water system after those points. This improvement is needed to maintain the water level and emergency water supply in the Town’s water tank.

Project Facts

  • Total Budget: $2,000,000
  • Total Construction Cost: TBD
  • Location: Between Colorado Blvd and Wheatland Blvd south of Downtown Frederick.

Project Timeline/Important Dates

  • After the easements for the waterline are completed, the District can continue to progress this project along.
  • Easement acquisition has delayed this project, but the Town expects to complete the agreement for the Town’s contribution toward the project cost in 2026.

Project Benefits

  • This project improves the reliability of the Town’s emergency water supply stored in the water tank.
  • This water tank is also used to provide additional fire protection.

Traffic Impacts

There are road crossings on Maple St, Frederick Way, and Ridgeway Blvd. Staff will work with the District and their contractor to minimize the impact to our residents.
