Garbage & Recycling

The Town currently has a contract with Waste Connections Denver to provide exclusive residential trash and single-stream recycling services to the residents in the Town of Frederick. The Town of Frederick does not provide commercial trash service.

Containers

Each resident in Frederick receives one 96-gallon trash container and one 96-gallon recycling container. The trash container is picked up weekly. The recycling container is picked up every other week on the same day as your trash pickup.

Customers who would like more than one trash container will be independently billed quarterly an additional fee per month for each extra container. This will be in addition to your trash service, billed by the Town of Frederick with your water bill.

Item Placement

Any items placed outside the container will incur an additional charge and will need to be called into Waste Connections of Colorado at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled weekly pickup. Payment will be required on the pickup day by leaving a check on the door or paying over the phone by credit card.

Remember: Per Town Code, all trash containers must remain covered and be kept off the street, curb, sidewalk and all other public ways and concealed from public view except on collection day (sec. 7-32). Please keep your trash covered and keep Frederick a clean place to live!
