The Town of Frederick operates and maintains these social media sites to provide residents, businesses, and visitors with information about Town programs, services, projects, issues, events, and activities. This information is intended to offer quick, convenient, and easy access for those wishing to learn about the Town of Frederick. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the application.
The information is provided as a public service, and the Town of Frederick assumes no liability for any inaccuracies the application may contain. Neither does the Town of Frederick assume any liability for content, comments, or advertisements posted on this application by external individuals, agencies, or companies. Any external content and/or comments included on the application do not imply endorsement by the Town of Frederick.
The Town of Frederick reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed in violation of our comments policy or any applicable laws.

Comments Policy
While the Town of Frederick has an interest in using social media to engage, inform, and cultivate its stakeholder audience, visitors to Town social media sites are advised that these sites serve as limited public forums and all content published is subject to monitoring. User generated posts will be rejected or removed when the content:
- Is outside the scope of the topic of the site or page.
- Unless otherwise protected by applicable law, no profanity, obscene language, or fighting words may be used.
- Includes sexual/pornographic content or links to sexual content.
- Posts for any unlawful purposes, for promotion of illegal activities, unlawful harassment, threats of violence, or posts that violate any federal, state, or local law.
- Violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.
- Includes information that may be used to compromise the safety or security of an individual, the public or public systems, including posting of personal addresses, or telephone numbers.
- Includes solicitations of commerce.
- Discloses any proprietary, confidential, or privileged information, including social security numbers or other personally identifying information that could be used to perpetrate identification fraud.
- Includes statements in support of or opposition to political campaigns, candidates, or ballot measures.
- Includes any links suspected of containing a virus.
Note: Town employee pictures posted to illustrate Town happenings and events will not allow public discussion to protect employees from becoming victims of false or malicious personal attacks.
All comments made to a website or webpage maintained by the Town may be subject to the Colorado Open Records Act.
All comments posted to a website or webpage not maintained or controlled by the Town are bound by the rules of that website, and the any usage agreements pertaining to user rights and responsibilities.
Any comment posted by a member of the public on any website or webpage are the opinion of the commentator only, and its publication on such site or page shall not imply endorsement of or agreement by the Town.
The Town may remove comments that include sexual content, threats, defamatory statements, the encouragement of illegal activity, violations of the legal ownership interests of another party, solicitations of commerce, statements in support or opposition to political candidates or ballot propositions, or information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
