Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono each provided funds to match a grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation to complete a study that evaluated the need for transit services in the three Carbon Valley communities. The study developed goals and policies encouraging the use of alternatives to automobile travel, including public transit. The three communities have formed a committee to decide the next steps to take for transit services in the Carbon Valley. The initial step is to provide information to help our citizens access existing vanpool and carpool services for our region.
As part of services offered through DRCOG, Way to Go coordinates carpools and vanpools in the Denver region. You can call 303-458-7665 or visit their website for the services they offer.
The North Front Range MPO offers mobility coordination in the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Area through Mary Warring, 970-416-2023.
