World-class carvers are packing their tools and heading to Frederick for our one-of-a-kind chainsaw carving competition. The talented carvers will go head-to-head, creating works of art right before your eyes.
Support these incredible artists by exploring their booths, where remarkable sculptures are available for purchase. If you're seeking one of the large sculptures from this year's competition, you may negotiate with a carver to bid on and acquire one of the event's masterpiece carvings. See the deadline to bid and pay, and the rules on our website! Don't miss the quick carve auctions on Thursday and Saturday nights, where carvers have just one hour to create unique sculptures auctioned off on the spot.
The Axe Women Loggers of Maine are making a grand return by popular demand. Prepare to be amazed by their displays of chopping, sawing, logrolling, and axe-throwing competitions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Food trucks, or as we call them, chuckwagons, will serve on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And mark your calendars for the local vendor market on Friday evening, where you can find hidden treasures while enjoying mouthwatering bites.
Carvers must put down their chainsaws on Saturday at 4 pm, and then you get to vote on your favorite sculpture. Remember to vote for the People's Choice Award until 6 pm on Saturday. Winners will be announced around 7:30 pm after the final quick carve auction.
