Did you know that individuals going door to door to sell goods or services in the Town of Frederick are required to obtain a Solicitor's License? And, all roofing projects require a permit?
Here are the facts:
1. Each peddler or solicitor must consent to a background check and file forms with the Town Clerk’s Office (401 Locust St.).
2. Approved peddlers or solicitors are issued a name badge and are required to display their badges at all times while they are working in Town.
3. The solicitor license is effective only between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:00 pm.
4. A contractor permit and inspection is required for all roofing projects. Permits are issued through the One Stop Development Center in Town Hall (401 Locust St.).
