Frederick in Flight is jam-packed with breathtaking moments and unique features sure to please the whole family! The highlights include the early morning lift offs on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6 am with skydivers, paragliders, over 20 hot air balloons, and giant special-shaped balloons (Rocky the flying squirrel & Mr. Winkle)! Breakfast starts at 5 am with burritos, donuts, and coffee vendors.

The Balloon Bash on Saturday night draws thousands of visitors who like to boogie. This year's entertainment, The Hot Lunch Band, specializes in funk and dance music. So get ready to get down on Saturday night from 5 pm to 9 pm! When the sun goes down, balloon baskets will 'candle-stick' showing off their flames, and hot air balloons will glow from the ground as skydivers descend in jumpsuits. We have 13 food trucks lined up, a beer & cider garden (ID required), and a kid zone with plenty of bounce houses!

Please be advised all activities are weather permitting. Suppose there is inclement weather that prohibits safe flying. In that case, the official event update will be posted on the Town of Frederick Facebook page, website, Twitter, and Instagram as soon as we are notified by the Hot Air Balloon event producer and FAA.

Need details and FAQs? We thought so. It's all on our Frederick in Flight event page.
