Update (June 18 at 3:41 pm)The CWCWD is in continuous contact with the filter plant. The repair has been made and seems to be working. The filter plant will need to “catch up” in the storage tank levels that have dropped. Air pockets and cloudy water may be working through the system, especially today, but both filter plants are now producing water. Residents are advised to refrain from unnecessary watering outdoors this weekend which includes lawn or landscaping watering.
First alert: Due to a control panel issue at the Carter Lake Filter Plant, the filter plant is unable to process water at its normal rate this morning, Friday, June 18. Water pressure is likely to be affected. It is advised to restrict water usage as much as possible at this time.
The filter plant does have specialists on-site and is working diligently to repair the panel but is unable to process water manually at the current time.
The filter plant is unsure of a time frame for repairs to be completed at this time. Updates will be posted as the information becomes available.
