For the penultimate Downtown Sounds concert of the season Thursday September 12th, local students will be showing off their musical chops for School Music Night in the new Crist Park gazebo 6-8 p.m.
The evening concert will feature student musicians from Coal Ridge Middle School and Frederick High School.
“We wanted to give our local students a chance to display their hard work and talent to the community,” said Events Coordinator Brooke Cunningham. “We hope community members will come out to support the next generation of musicians and reminisce about their own early musical days.”
All Downtown Sounds concerts are free, open to the public and family friendly. Concert goers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and camp chairs to make their listening experience more enjoyable. Fig’s Catering and JAM’s Place food trucks will be on hand serving up some tasty snacks to enhance your listening pleasure, along with all of the other craft and food vendors that call the Frederick Market home each Thursday.
