In an article featured in USA Today, the Town of Frederick was chosen as one of the top 50 places to live in the United States. It appears sixth on the list of the best place to live in each state.
The list was created by a weighted index of over two dozen measures. Using census data, all boroughs, places, cities, towns and villages with over 8,000 residents were measured.
“Our brand promise in Frederick is that the life you dream of is yours to create,” said Mayor of Frederick, Tony Carey. “Creating a high quality of life has been my top priority as Mayor over the past six years and as a trustee for six years before that. I want to thank the current and previous boards as well as the incredible town staff and residents that have always rolled up their sleeves to make this community the best it can be.”
As the article states, “quality of life is subject to a range of factors – close relationships and personal health being among the most important. The local community and environment can also have a meaningful impact.” Frederick’s location, close to downtown Denver and 25 ski areas, was factored in. Quality of life aspects, such as many parks and outdoor activities, were mentioned in the article as what makes Frederick a great place to live.
