How Does Budget Billing Work?

Budget Billing does not reduce your overall utility expenses. It simply spreads them out over a 12-month period so that you do not have low bills in the winter and high bills in the summer. The monthly bill amount that customers are charged for Budget Billing is based on the average of the last 12 monthly bills. The monthly bill amount may vary from month to month based on customer usage. A customer may cancel Budget Billing at any time by phone or in person. After cancelling Budget Billing, any balance due will be billed to the account or any credit will be applied to the account.

Who Can Enroll?

In order to qualify for the Budget Billing Program you must:
  • Have a utility account with the Town of Frederick that has been active for at least 12 months.
  • Have a utility account that is in good standing with the Town that has not been shut- off in the last 6 months.

It's Easy to Enroll
