Pump jacks are the property of the operating company and the COGCC has specific regulations about the painting of oil and gas facilities. If you have a concern about the appearance of a pump jack, you should contact the operating company.
Screening
For the safety of residents and employees of the operating companies, well sites and the equipment on them should be clearly visible. However, as older wells are updated, depending on the operator, it is likely that the old pump jack (cricket) will be replaced by modern equipment that has less mass and a lower profile.
