2024 Municipal Election Judges

Become an Election Judge for The Town of Frederick!

The Town of Frederick seeks civic-minded individuals to serve as Election Judges for the upcoming regular municipal election on April 2, 2024. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the election process by verifying, reconciling, and counting mail ballots. 

Election Judge Duties:

  • Work in a team environment closely collaborating with other judges.
  • Utilize skills such as attention to detail, logical decision-making, and general computer knowledge, including Excel spreadsheets and data searches.

Key Dates:

  • Mandatory Training: tentatively scheduled for March 13, 2024 (2-hour session, time TBD)
  • Work Shifts: Between March 14 and March 28 (Four shifts of 4 – 6 hours, times TBD)
  • March 29 – plan on a 6 to 8-hour schedule 
  • April 1 – plan on a 6 to 8-hour schedule 
  • April 2 – plan on 10-hour schedule
  • April 11 or April 12 – post-election work

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in a team environment and can collaborate effectively with others. No previous experience is necessary, but a keen eye for detail and basic computer skills are necessary. 

This volunteer position offers a $15.00 per hour stipend as a token of appreciation for your valuable time and effort.
