The Town of Frederick Municipal Code states “Whenever any person, firm or corporation engages in the operations or conduct of any business or establishment or in doing business or engaging in activity for profit as designated and set out herein, such corporation so engaged or occupied shall be subject to the requirements of the Business License Chapter.
Depending on the type of business, an investigation and/or inspection may be completed by various agencies or Town departments. These investigations or inspections may be completed by the Town of Frederick Building Inspector, Town of Frederick Planning Department, Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District Chief, Weld County Health Department and/or by other entities assigned by the Town Board.
The process for obtaining a Town of Frederick Business License is as follows:
1. Complete the Business License Application.
2. Contact the City Clerk's Office at 720.382.5500 for the appropriate fee.
3. Certificate of Good Standings, obtained from the State of Colorado.
Submit your completed application to the Town Clerk's Department at 401 Locust Street. Upon receipt of the completed application, the license will be reviewed by several departments and agencies. Upon approval. the Business License can be released and the Town Clerk’s Department will send the Business License to the applicant.
