What is the role of the Town Board?
The Mayor and Board of Trustees are charged with a great responsibility to their constituents. Among those responsibilities, the Board must make the final decision regarding whether or not to approve land use applications, whether or not to enter the Town into contracts, whether or not to approve local ordinances, and many others. These individuals spend many hours studying the issues facing the Town so that they can make the right decisions when called on to vote at Town Meetings.
