The Youth Advisory Commission meets at various times throughout the year, due to the school schedule. The responsibilities of the Commission are to assess the needs of area youth and then formulate goals, guidelines, and objectives to meet those needs; establishing special projects and solicit volunteers to help complete those projects; learning about programs for youth and advising the Board as to the desirability of participation in implementation of those programs; acting as a coordinating body in establishing youth service opportunities, special events, programs, etc.
