The Frederick Cultural Arts Commission can consist of seven (7) members and meets each month in the Town Hall located at 401 Locust Street, and meetings vary based on the schedule of the Commissioners, but are typically held in the evenings. There are currently four vacancies. The Commission is charged with providing information to the Board of Trustees regarding the performing arts as well as non-permanent art exhibits. This commission is also tasked with encouraging community participation in the performance arts (by providing opportunities for local artists/performers to “display their crafts” or otherwise), and also to research and pursue all possible grant opportunities for cultural arts-related activities and programs.
