The Town Manager is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees. He is responsible for the administration of the Town in accordance with Board actions and policies, the Frederick Municipal Code, and State and Federal law. The Town Manager also provides administrative leadership and management for the day-to-day operations of the town’s five departments. He is required to submit a balanced annual budget to the Board of Trustees each fiscal year and develop management policies and procedures that allow for the effective delivery of municipal services.

MEGAN WILLIAMS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST
The Community Relations Specialist is the primary source of all official forms of public communications. She is responsible for writing and developing communications materials such as articles, news releases, brochures, fliers, posters, electronic presentations, social media and newsletters. She also is the main point of contact for the Town's community event planning and managing including Miners Day, Festival of Lights, Frederick Market and Frederick in Flight; managing community programs including park reservations, Adopt a Place Program, Memorial Bench and Tree Program, elementary school tours, scholarship program and the Art in Public Places Program. The Community Relations Specialist also serves as a liaison to multiple commissions regarding these responsibilities.
